When someone close to you is dealing with addiction or mental health challenges, it can take a toll on everyone. At Promises DFW, we include families in the healing process with therapy and support programs built to restore trust and connection. If your loved one is currently in treatment, we encourage you to reach out to their primary therapist or case manager to learn more.
We invite families to get involved as early as possible—often within the first 24 hours—because your support can make a real difference. From the very beginning, our team offers guidance and communication so you feel supported, informed, and included in the recovery journey.

That might mean ongoing therapy with your loved one, or individual sessions for yourself to process what you’ve experienced.
Here are two resources we recommend for finding support:
Supporting someone through addiction or mental health recovery isn’t easy. You might be dealing with fear, guilt, confusion, or exhaustion. It’s important to know that your emotional health matters, too. At Promises DFW, we’re here to support your whole family—not just the person in treatment.
